Kunsthal Nord has existed since 2009 and is located in Aalborg, specifically in the iconic Nordkraft building. This powert plant that used to supply Aalborg’s citizens with heat and electricity, supplies now, for those interested, a more spiritual energy in the form of new and experimental art experiences.
Kunsthal Nord present and spreads the knowledge to exhibitions with contemporary Danish and international art and crafts through a communication that includes lectures and dialogue-generating projects.
Kunsthal Nord can therefore be considered a development-oriented information-spreading institution, which helps to further the public's cultural identity by inviting debate, communication and dialogue on the state of contemporary art.
Kunsthal Nord has been a member of the Danish Association of Art Centers since 2014.
